Indigenous Opposition to Celebrations

Reports have come to light from a recent article of The Indigenous Herald, that our Aboriginal peoples may be intending to incite a violent demonstration against the festivities of our 150th anniversary of this country's foundation.

In a horrendous misinterpretation of the sacred scriptures, Aboriginal activist have hinted that physical force may be necessary to remove the supposed 'ginormous log' in the eyes of their most devoted and patriotic citizens.

Australian peoples of every class, and age have always valued the right for Aboriginal peoples to live through various protection policies and diligent concern for their spiritual wellbeing. The new revelations of oppositions may provide a darker chapter to what should be an otherwise frabjous day.

The Police force has been notified of the potential violence planned and has encouraged Australia to still be participating in the coming January's festivities.

On the 26th of January, 1788, The weathered hands of Arthur Phillip first arrived in Port Jackson. After a long and hazardous journey, the first fleet arrived in the magnificent harbour we know today as Sydney Harbour and heralded civilisation to the last inhabited continent on Earth.

In six months time the entire nation will be celebrating the 150th anniversary of this momentous event and pivotal moment in the history of our great land. The Premier experts a grand turn out for a re-enactment of the first fleet amongst a plethora of other festivities.

Citizens of the Sydney area are encouraged to participate in what will be one of the most jubilant events of our generation. Any plans for events to be held on the day are welcomed by the governor of New South Wales and details for the submission of proposals will be in our regular column on page 44.
